In the health section of the newspaper today there was an article talking about the benefits of holding hands! I loved it because I've believed it all along! When I was sick and pregnant, I would feel such a difference anytime I was touched... especially when Andrew would hold my hand.
According to research done by a neuroscientist at the University of Virginia, brain scans have proven that women who are under stress will be calmer when they hold a mans hand...even if that man is a stranger, but most dramatically if they are close. The study also showed that holding hands can in fact lessen pain, alot like a pain killer! The article said that happily married women are the greatest beneficiaries. So ladies, lets squeeze our husbands hands a little tighter!
Bottom line: Touch is a really powerful thing.

I love it! You do some really good research. I will make sure to let Tim know, he always wonders why I want to hold his hand even after 11
years of marriage. Good job Stacey. I'm sure Andy doesn't ever want to let go of your hand.
