I'm so proud of my mom! She entered her delicious bread and cinnamon rolls into the L.A. County fair this year!
Both of her breads, white and wheat, each won 1ST place in their category!
Plus, her cinnamon rolls won 2ND place!
Ashton and I tagged along with my mom and dad for a quick trip to the fair to check out my moms ribbons! We each got in for $1, thanks to opening weekend, then of course headed toward the bread display. After lots of oohs and awwings over all of the beautiful food, we suddenly became very hungry...SO, we had to stop and eat at the Pinks booth...
Which was conveniently located near the chocolate covered bacon booth...
Now, as intrigued and pregnant as I was, this still did not sound tempting. :) But, my parents are brave and adventurous souls, so when they made the purchase, I did consume.
Outcome: Delicious.
A delicious day.

Uncle Craig and I went to the Fair yesterday. Your mom's breads still look good...a whole week later.
It is wonderful to think that you were able to go to Disneyland! Wheelchairs are a great invention. There is a charity that is our favorite to contribute to (other than the church) that gives wheelchairs to those who can't walk. If you can't get around there isn't much you can do. A wheelchair is freedom!

So now it's official. Your mom makes award winning bread. We always knew her's was the best bread ever! Now the WORLD knows...or the people at the fair do.
