I've been trying to match this picture of Ashton's leg to other pictures on the internet of rashes or outbreaks. I can't figure out what it is or why he has it.
He's had it for over a month. It doesn't itch or bother him in any way and it never looks like its getting any better or any worse. I am confused.
Any ideas?

It looks like eczema to me....Aquaphor (sp?) lotion works well....
Hi Stacey- you have no idea who I am, but I am a mom with Eczema and i have two kids with it. It looks like Eczema. I have actually found that This Spray-On lotion made by Avon works very well. I spent crazy money on prescriptions and we drink an enormous amount of water, but nothing seems to work as well as the spray-on oatmeal lotion that avon sells. Dont worry I do not sell avon. I like your blog.
Before I even read the other comments, my first thought when I saw the picture was eczema... Poor little guy!
Yep, one more vote for eczema. Cooper gets it to.
Hydrocortizone(sp?) cream works for him. Have you shown it to your Dr. yet?
Thanks eeryone for your help! I originally ruled out eczema because Ashton hasn't been itchy, but now I'm going to rethink it, and try to get him in for a Dr. appt!
Beautiful blog btw! I too also have a son that HAD Eczema. He had it from the age of 5 to 7, and has now outgrown his childhood Eczema. The first thing the Dr. suggested to me was if I was using Fabric softner sheets to change them to liquid, I did change and it did not make it go away, but made it look much less bumpy and red. Not all Eczema can or will go away, but a pretty good chance of it, if it appears during childhood! Best of luck
Ammon had it really bad and the only thing that worked for him was Aveno. When he had outbreaks I woul give him and oatmeal bath (Aveno) and then rb him down all the time with Aveno. It is a little pricey but it works. Hydrocortizon cream sometimes will work but don't put it on his face if he gets it there it can discolor his face. If it doesn't get better with that the Doc can prescribe a stronger strength Hydrocortizone cream. Good luck and let me know what happens. By the way, we really miss you!!
hi Stracey, i hope your son is doing better let me know through my e-mail ok, good luck to you, I live in palmdale, which is just west of Victorville. see ya
