My boys are only 4 and 2, yet basically, the coolest kids I have ever met... Thoughtful, sweet, smart and funny... you know almost perfect. :)
So, it broke my heart when Ashton came running over to me with big full tears in his eyes. We were playing at our favorite park and two shirtless little boys called him a "punk"!
Ashton has no idea what a "punk" is, the 2 other boys probably didn't either, but Ashton is smart enough to know it wasn't a compliment. :( He cried as he told me that he just wanted to play with "happy boys" and I don't blame him... when you're a kid, parks are magical places! There's no room for tears.

I watched one of the little bullies boys as he teased some girls on the seesaw too. Luckily, they weren't going to take it, they told him he could never be their friend!
oh. kids. :)
If I could have a super power, it would be that I could make everyone see my boys the way I do!! ~that way, they would be surrounded by people who only love and adore them their whole entire lives.
I'm sure thats every mothers wish? Could you imagine, if we all saw each other through eachother's mother's eyes?! What a world that would be... :)
I would also want to read minds, haha, but anyway...
Sadly, I know its not all love and happiness out there in the world, so today was not the last "bully" they're going to encounter.
I was reminded that our jobs as mothers is SO great.
I want to raise my boys so that they will NEVER be the one making another kid ball their eyes out at a park, but also so that when someone else tries to do it to them again, they'll know how special they are and how wrong that person must be!

After all, my boys are superheroes.
They should treat and be treated like nothing less.

What a remarkable concept... to see each child/person as their loving mother sees them. It would change the world. And yet, what of the children whose mother's hate them? Can't happen...oh, but yes it can and does happen... How I wish I grew up in a world you governed!!!
