I'm craving.....
I used to think I didn't really get cravings when I was pregnant... In fact the majority of both of my pregnancies, I can't even think about food with out throwing up. BUT, I've been reading through the pregnancy journals I've been keeping (yes, I LOVE a good pregnancy journal) and I have discovered a pattern of favorite foods on my mind...
With Ashton it was all about the fruit...yogurt with fruit, watermelon, apple slices, pinneapple chunks, peaches and oranges. Then towards the end I became obsessed with mini frozen pepperoni pizzas...
But with this little one...I want veggies, fish and ice cream?!
Broccoli is up pretty high up there too, but baby carrots I eat everyday. I can't get enough. I could eat the whole bag right now.
Usually it's fish tacos or salmon, but this soup has been stuck in my mind for years... and now I'm thinking about it everyday, creamy lobster soup, from the Coral Reef restaurant at Epcot, Disney world. It's one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted.
Cheesy olive bread. Oh, how I dream of you.... this recipe is from thepioneerwoman.com. It's sinful.

Smores! This craving has been consistent for months now...

And last but not least, the ice cream! I just started being able to tolerate dairy products again, so, ice cream is on my mind... the local ice cream man drives by my house every night playing "It's a small world" and when I hear him coming I just want to cry happy pregnant tears as I imagine eating this Mississippi Mud ice cream sandwich...
So many delicious foods out there...
I'm enjoying being able to eat again and I'm catching up fast (as you can see).

The Happiest Place on Earth♥

After much debating back and forth, I made my decison...
(▲The height requirements that are reached!)
(▲The Mickey Ears)
(The Grandparents▼)
(The Disney Castle▼)
(▲The very pregnant belly)
(▲The wet ball of happiness)
(▲The attraction which brought the most smiles)
(▲The Line Up)
(▲The perfect end...)
Sounds like the easiest decision ever, huh?
Well, I wasn't so sure, I thought a pregnant woman (sadly) had no place at an amusement park. It's hot, crowded, huge and the ride attractions are not designed for us. Add to that, I am an especially ridiculous pregnant woman... I'm out of breath just walking from my room to the front door, I can't stay hydrated on my own and my piccline needs to be protected from all elements of regular life.
How could a someone like me possibly have fun at Disneyland?
The Answer: A Wheelchair!!!
How could a someone like me possibly have fun at Disneyland?

...and a big strong husband who doesn't mind pushing you around all day. :)
YES,

Disneyland is magical no matter what your body is going through.
Disneyland is fun no matter how old you feel.
Disneyland is happy no matter how many rides you can or can't ride.
It will always be a magical kingdom.
Here are my favorite pictures of the day...

A picture paints a thousand words....
I took that long roll of ultrasound pictures (talked about in the previous entry) and stuck them up onto our 'fridge door. They are fun to look at everytime I reach into the 'fridge to grab a pickle. :) ANYWAY...
If Ashton is near by I always point and remind him that those are pictures of his baby brother. :)
I wasn't expecting him to understand, but it was still fun to show him.
Then, last night, several times, he would come and grab mine or Andrews hand, walk us over to the fridge and point at the pictures saying "baby....baby".
Awww, It was adorable.

Today...in case you were wondering.
Andrew's gone for the night and Ashton fell asleep awhile ago, making this place unusually quiet and kinda boring.
So, since I have nothing to do and hours ahead of me, I thought I'd blog. Of course. :)
I decided to tell you about my day...
It started out better than usual. I only threw up one time in the morning, so I knew it was going to be a good day! Huzzah!
Andrew, Ashton and I recycled our cans and used the money to go out to lunch. It was pretty exciting... we picked one of our favorite places, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, to eat. I'm addicted to their delicious sauces and their macaroni. Good stuff.
We came home, and while my boys napped, I drank and drank until my bladder was full! I needed to make sure I was good and ready for my ultrasound appointment.
The appointment went great. I love that warm jelly they smother all over the tummy and It was fun to see my baby on this huge screen they had on the wall. Baby put on a fun show for me and I got a long roll of pictures of him to take home!
Then, I decided my tummy is getting big and I really wanted a new maternity shirt. I called Andrew to ask if it was okay if I went shopping, and he, being amazing, actually seemed happy that I was spending money on myself. What?! I have a great husband!
After a delicious BLT dinner, with tomatoes fresh from Andrews folks' garden, and family scripture time, I kissed my husband goodbye and wondered what on earth I was going to do all night... hm mm.
Come home safely, honey. The end.

The truth comes out...
- I can eat a whole package of sugar wafer cookies in one sitting.
- I don't answer the phone. On purpose. I'm sorry.
- If I don't wash my hair everyday, its a disgusting oily mess.
- I wear my p.j.'s until Andrew comes home, oh who am I kidding?!....mostly, I just hang out in my underpants. :)
- I'm not into Summertime. Winter....come!
- I waste alot of hot water in the shower. I admit it.
- I skip the breakfast foods and go straight to frozen pizza at 9am.
- I hate throwing up milk, so I avoid it all together...oh, how I miss you.
- I don't think "hell" or "damn" should count as bad words...
- Honey, do I have to share the covers with you?
- I secretly love when Ashton uses his tongue to kiss me.
- Every time I think about Sam and Frodo from the Lord of the Rings, I cry.
- Sharing my straw with even my husband or son disgusts me.
- Yes, I do think my kid is cuter than yours....
- I watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels on tv every Sunday night....please, don't judge me.
- Can we have popcorn for dinner?!
- I would love to call myself a vegetarian, but I love the fish and chicken tacos too much!!
- I only have like 6 shirts, what kind of girl am I?!!?! I'll answer that, I'm a poor, boring shirtless girl.
- I don't really grow leg hair, so, why shave, right?
- I watch Sesame Street and 'Yo Gabba Gabba even when Ashton isn't around.
- Everything tastes better if someone else makes it and hands it to me.
- I would love to have a real fur coat, or blanket, or rug. OoooooOoo so soft! Yes, PETA would be mad, but I only want these things because I loooove the animals!
- I considered the names Petri and Tiger for my unborn son (don't worry, Andrew has a very strict screening process).
Some of it I can blame on being pregnant, the rest of it... just is what it is.

Snails and Puppydog Tails
I'm 21 weeks along....so the baby is finally half way cooked!
The fun thing about being halfway done is being able to find out what kind of baby is in there.
We knew we wanted to find out, but when they told us how much it costs, I kept thinking, no, lets just use that money to buy cute girl clothes with strawberries and rainbows on them instead...since, I was SOOO sure it was a girl. :)
Anyway, as always, I'm wrong...

We are very excited! Boys....boys...boys...
Now, to decide a name.....hmmmm.

I LOVE my husband because...
I'm sure he knows that I'm crazy, but still he treats me like I'm a beautiful sane pregnant princess.
The other day I called him on his way home from work and said "please, honey...could you bring me home a Snickers bar with almonds"?
... he knows me well and brought me home, not just one... but TWO!
Of course, I started crying because I was so excited and happy, then instantly began crying again as I realized that the two candy bars were not enough and that they'd be gone in a matter of minutes...
INSTEAD of being confused or frustrated, my sweet husband just got back into the car and drove to the store to buy me a whole box of 24 candy bars!
...thats love.

Hugs and loves when your insides are coming out
Someday I will stop blogging about my falling apart body and horrible sickness, but for now it's the only thing really going on in my life...so just bear with me a few more months, yes? Thank you. :)
Basically, I throw up. Alot. And as disgusting as it is to talk about, I wanted to share the only good part about it with you all...
So, I just lay in bed all day and when I feel it's time, I rush to the toilet where I sit Indian style and lean in. (Sorry, if it's already too detailed...it'll get better...)
In the beginning, Ashton would run in with me and pat my neck and give me hugs from behind until I was done.
A little awkward when your insides are coming out, but so sweet and adorable.
Then he got more involved and after the long hug, he would "demand" several pieces of toilet paper to throw in before the flush.
After a week or two he took it to the next level and started mimicking me. He would spit and gag right along with me into the porcelain bowl. Then pat my neck and grab the little t.p. pieces to throw in before the flush.
As disturbing as it may sound, I really felt comforted knowing I wasn't alone in those horrible moments, and that my little boy loved me and was taking care of me the best he knew how.
This past weekend, while I was throwing up, Ashton was in bed with Andrew and started making his gagging sounds. We both thought he was playing "throw up time" 'cuz I was, but we quickly caught on that it was the real deal and daddy rushed him to me at the toilet where he threw up all of the food he ate that day. It was so sad, but he leaned in and knew what to do. :(
I hugged him from behind and patted his neck and when he was done I gave him little pieces of toilet paper to throw in before I flushed.
We had taught eachother just what to do.

Home Sweet Home

After 5 trips to the ER, 1 ambulance visit and 2 weeks of hospital stays, I finally got a Picc-line put in!! This really helped me with my last pregnancy and hopefully it will again, it allows me to have the I.V. fluids I need --at home, in the comfort of my own bed!!!
Thats right, no more hospital beds for me! Yes, as fun as it is that the hospital beds move up and down with the press of a button, there are many things that I will NOT miss....
...the constant smell of purell and rubbing alcohol lingering in the air, loud crazy roomates seperated by a sheet on hooks, nurses waking me up 5 times every night to take my blood pressure, oversized backless robes, beeping machines, needles for bloodwork, early morning ultrasounds, unplugging 100 cords to get up and use the restroom, hospital food, little mini beverages, new nurses changing everytime I get their names down, t.v.'s that go through every channel before they turn off, "no babies allowed to visit" rules, hours of loneliness and bordedom, hours of waiting for a Dr. to call back, "Good nights" and "Good mornings" with Andrew over the phone, sponge bathing, wheelchair rides...okay, I might miss that one....but you get my point.
I am so happy to be home!

Super Huge- Enormous- Bigger Than My Normal Belly, NEWS!!!!

I started the throwing up thing. 18 times in 24 hours! I've lost 9 pounds. It makes me mad that this is how I'm finally losing weight.
Anyway, wish me luck.
Despite all of that, Andrew and I are very excited to have LiTtle oNe coming to our family! And
I'd like to close with a quote from one of my favorite Rugrats cartoon songs,
"a baby is a gift, a gift from above, a baby is a gift from- up- above". -Chuckie, Tommy and Lily.
