What were you doing four years ago, today?

~October 21, 2006~
Four years ago, today, I was waking up early, curling my hair, putting on a beautiful pearl necklace, white dress and a sparkly diamond ring.

I was cutting the most beautiful cake I've ever seen, dancing to special music, smiling so much my face hurt and promising over the alter to spend the rest of my life with a man who adores me.
It's been a pretty great four years from then to now.
♥ Happy anniversary! ♥

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something...Pink?

Rachel and Zak TIED THE KNOT!
I couldn't imagine my sister looking any more beautiful.
...and all of the details just screamed "RACHEL!!' and "GIRLY!". It was perfection!... even down to the littlest person. Doesn't he look so handsome in his mini tux?!
And of course, you know me, I had to take a picture of the yummy food....
It was the happiest day and I love them both!
I know they will live happily ever after!

Something Old, Something New...

I was talking to Charis, one of my besties, on the phone a few days ago. We were talking about our weddings and if there was anything we would have changed. We were both laughing about the one silly detail that slipped through the cracks... we both had AMAZING wedding days.

Then, after hanging up with her, I realized something.... Both of my sisters have pictures of them shopping for their wedding dresses and trying them on! I wish I did that. I was a little bit sad as I wondered why my mom didn't love me as much as my sisters... deep sigh. :)
Then, while at my parents house yesterday, I found a file full of these:

I totally forgot!

She does love me!

And so, yes, I did have the perfect wedding after all.... although, I do kinda regret not wearing that fun puffy wedding dress above. :)

Happy 2 Years!

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary!!
We had the best day! We woke up early, thank you Ashton, and had a delicious breakfast! Andrew made whole wheat scones and we piled them up with powdered sugar and honey butter.

Definitely worth the calories.

Then we got ready for the day and headed down to Andrews parents house where Ashton was going to be babysat the whole day by Andrews mom! That alone was AMAZING!
We went to the movies, just the two of us....no squirming baby, and we saw the Secret Lives of Bees. Andrew was one of the only two men in the theatre.... :)

It was good.
Then we went to lunch! Anywhere I wanted to go, he said! :) We ended up at one of our usual favorites, TGIF, where we ate good and loved our drinks...
Although the day was gift enough, we still gave gifts and we both got what we wanted. Andrew got the Wii Fit (which we set up when we got home and become obsessed with) and I was taken to a hair salon to get my hair cut and colored!! Laura, a family friend, did an AMAZING job. She is fantastic! Go see her!

Andrew stayed with me the whole time, along with my brother in law, Nic, and they kept me company. Plus-Andrew picked my hair color and Nic picked the cut.
It was much needed and such a wonderful treat!

Here we are 2 years into our life together....

It's been good!

Two Special Days...

Bradley got married this Mothers Day weekend! It was a beautiful day.
I remember a cute story about my brother, Bradley, when he was a little boy. He became frustrated one day about having so many responsibilities and he decided he was going to run away from home. He packed his suitcase and said goodbye! Then he went and sat on the curb. My mom watched him from the window and after what seemed a long time, he came back inside and found her. He started to cry and he told her he that he couldn’t run away with out her then he asked her to come with him!
So cute.
